Swami Vivekananda Jayanti Celebration – 10 January 2026
Swami Vivekananda Jayanti was devotionally celebrated at our Math on 10 January 2026 in a serene and spiritually uplifting atmosphere. Devotees gathered in large numbers to commemorate the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda and to immerse themselves in prayer, reflection, and service.
The celebration began in the early morning with Mangala Arati followed by Vedaparayanam, Surabhatam and special Bhajan. Then Special Puja and Homa were conducted according to the traditional Vedic rituals of the Ramakrishna Order. This was followed by Sri Ramakrishna Ashtottara Shata Nama Archanai, during which the 108 sacred names of Bhagavan Sri Ramakrishna were reverently chanted.
A special lecture on the life and teachings of Swami Vivekananda was delivered on this auspicious occasion by Swami Parambikanandaji Maharaj. The discourse helped devotees reflect upon his holy life and universal message.
The speaker highlighted Swamiji’s ideals of purity, renunciation, patience, compassion, and selfless service, inspiring devotees to follow his noble path and ideals in their own lives.
Nearly 350 devotees from Nattarampalli, Ambur, Vaniyambadi, and Krishnagiri participated in the Jayanti celebrations. Their heartfelt involvement in witnessing the Puja, chanting Namavali and Bhajans, and offering Pushpanchali prayers reflected deep devotion and faith. All devotees felt blessed to receive the grace of Swami Vivekananda.
After the Maha Arati, Prasadam was served to all devotees at noon.
In the evening, following the Sandhya Arati, a special Bhajans Programme by Sri R.C. Dinesh and party was conducted in the school premises. The devotional singing further elevated the spiritual atmosphere, and Prasadam was again distributed to all after the Bhajans.
The Swami Vivekananda Jayanti celebration concluded in a calm and prayerful manner. The observance renewed the spiritual inspiration of the devotees and strengthened their resolve to live according to the lofty ideals and teachings of Swami Vivekananda.
