32nd Free Cataract Surgery Eye Camp – Serving Rural Communities

The 32nd Free Cataract Surgery Eye Camp was successfully conducted on 17th May 2026 with the medical support of Aravind Eye Hospital, Chennai. The camp was organized with the noble objective of providing free eye examinations and free cataract surgeries to underprivileged people from rural communities.

This humanitarian initiative reflects our continued mission to deliver accessible and quality eye care services to economically weaker sections of society.

Total Beneficiaries of the Free Eye Camp

A total of 296 patients from nearby villages attended the camp and underwent comprehensive eye examinations conducted by experienced ophthalmologists.

Screening Results

104 patients diagnosed with cataract were selected for immediate free cataract surgery in Chennai.
48 patients received spectacles to correct refractive errors.
✅ All patients were provided with free lunch and safe transportation to Chennai for surgery.

This holistic approach ensured dignity, comfort, and proper medical care throughout the entire process.

Impact of the Free Cataract Surgery Camp

Cataract remains one of the leading causes of preventable blindness in India. Through this free eye surgery initiative, many patients are able to regain their eyesight, restore independence, improve their livelihood, and enhance their quality of life.
