29th Free Cataract Surgery Eye Camp – Serving Rural Communities
The 29th Free Cataract Surgery Eye Camp was successfully conducted on 15th February 2026 with the medical support of Aravind Eye Hospital, Chennai. The camp aimed to provide free eye checkups and free cataract surgery to underprivileged and rural communities.
This initiative reflects our continued mission to deliver accessible and quality eye care services to economically weaker sections of society.
Total Beneficiaries of the Free Eye Camp
A total of 242 patients from nearby villages attended the camp and underwent comprehensive eye examinations conducted by experienced ophthalmologists.
Screening Results
✅ 93 patients diagnosed with cataract were selected for immediate free cataract surgery in Chennai.✅ 59 patients received spectacles to correct refractive errors.✅ All patients were provided lunch and safe transportation to Chennai for surgery.
This holistic approach ensured dignity, comfort, and proper medical care throughout the process.
Impact of the Free Cataract Surgery Camp
Cataract is one of the leading causes of preventable blindness in India. Through this free eye surgery camp, patients not only regain eyesight but also improve their livelihood, independence, and quality of life.
