27th Free Cataract Surgery Eye Camp – Service to Humanity

The 27th Free Cataract Surgery Eye Camp was successfully conducted on 21st December 2025 with the dedicated support of Aravind Eye Hospital, Chennai, reaffirming our ongoing commitment to providing accessible and compassionate eye care to the underprivileged sections of society.

A total of 295 patients from surrounding villages participated in the camp. Each patient underwent a comprehensive eye examination conducted by experienced medical professionals. Following the screening, 53 patients were identified and immediate cataract surgery.

In addition, 41 patients were provided with spectacles to correct refractive errors, significantly improving their vision and quality of life.

As part of our holistic approach to care, lunch was served to all patients before they were transported to Chennai for Surgery, ensuring their comfort and well-being throughout the process.

This eye camp stands as a true reflection of our dedication to community welfare and the spirit of selfless service inspired by Swami Vivekananda. The initiative not only aims to restore eyesight but also to enhance the daily lives and livelihoods of those who depend on clear vision.

May Sri Ramakrishna bless all the beneficiaries and guide us in continuing this noble service to the humanity!
