The 129th Foundation Day of the Ramakrishna Mission is indeed a moment to reflect on its profound impact and enduring legacy. Founded on May 1, 1897, by Swami Vivekananda, the chief disciple of Sri Ramakrishna, the Ramakrishna Mission embodies the ideals of karma yoga – selfless service – and the harmony of all religions. Inspired by Sri Ramakrishna's teachings of the inherent divinity of all beings and the unity of all faiths, Swami Vivekananda envisioned an organization that would not only propagate these spiritual truths but also actively engage in alleviating human suffering.

The establishment of the Mission in Belur Math, near Kolkata, marked the formal beginning of a movement that has since blossomed into a global network of educational institutions, hospitals, charitable dispensaries, cultural centers, and spiritual retreats.

The 129th Foundation Day serves as a powerful reminder of the unwavering dedication and selfless service of the monks and devotees of the Ramakrishna Mission. Their tireless efforts, guided by the principles of "Atmano Mokshartham Jagad Hitaya Cha" (for one's own liberation and for the welfare of the world), continue to touch and transform countless lives across the globe.
