The Thirumoovar Jayanti Vizha and the 44th Annual Day of Sri Ramakrishna Vidyalaya Matriculation School were celebrated with great enthusiasm and devotion on 26th February 2026.

The celebration began on an auspicious note, bringing together students, parents, and teachers in a vibrant and joyful atmosphere. The event beautifully highlighted the spiritual significance of Thirumoovar Jayanti, through meaningful speeches and performances.

Teachers delivered inspiring talks about Thirumoovar, explaining their teachings, values, and contributions to society. Their words enlightened the gathering and instilled a sense of cultural pride among the students.

The cultural programme was a true reflection of talent and dedication. Students of all classes participated with great excitement, showcasing a variety of performances including dance, drama, and music. One of the highlights of the evening was the mesmerizing Kailaya Vadyam performance by the students, which captivated the audience with its rhythm and energy.

Every child contributed wholeheartedly, making the event lively and memorable. The audience, including parents and guests, thoroughly enjoyed each performance and appreciated the efforts of the students and teachers.

National Youth Day Celebration & Competitions – 08.01.2026

Sri Ramakrishna Math joyfully conducted the National Youth Day Celebration on 08 January 2026, commemorating the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, with a series of inspiring competitions for school students. The programme was aimed at encouraging youth to imbibe Swamiji’s ideals of character, confidence, and service.

A total of 22 schools enthusiastically participated in the event, with 162 students taking part in various competitions. The competitions included Essay Writing, Elocution, Recitation, and Drawing, providing students with a platform to express their creativity, thoughts, and talents inspired by the life and teachings of Swami Vivekananda.

All participating schools were presented with mementos as a token of appreciation. Every student who took part in the competitions received a certificate of participation, a cash award of ₹100, and books authored on Swami Vivekananda, encouraging continued learning and inspiration.

Winners of each competition were awarded as follows:

  • First Prize: Certificate, ₹1,000 cash prize, and Swamiji’s books
  • Second Prize: Certificate, ₹600 cash prize, and Swamiji’s books
  • Third Prize: Certificate, ₹400 cash prize, and Swamiji’s books

The celebration concluded on a joyful and meaningful note, leaving the students motivated to follow the path of strength, discipline, and selfless service as envisioned by Swami Vivekananda. The event truly reflected the spirit of National Youth Day – awakening the potential of young minds.

All the teachers and children were provided snacks and lunch.

Sewing Machine Distribution Programme

20 November 2025 – Sri Ramakrishna Math, Nattarampalli

On 20th November 2025, 15 tailoring machines were distributed to 15 trainees of our Vaniyambadi Tailoring Unit who successfully completed the six-month training course. 
The machines were distributed by Revered Swami Yatatmananda Maharaj, Secretary of Salem Sri Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama.

This initiative aims to support rural women by promoting self-reliance and skill-based income generation. With these sewing machines—each costing ₹9,200—the beneficiaries will be able to stitch and sell garments within their local communities, helping them earn a sustainable income and become economically independent.

The programme concluded with the serving of lunch Prasadam to all trainees, marking a heartfelt end to the function.


May Sri Ramakrishna bless all the beneficiaries with success in their efforts toward self-reliance and empowered living.
