Gurupuja Celebration on 10th April 2022
“GURUPUJA”- the public celebration of Sri Ramakrishna Jayanti was celebrated in our Math on 10th April 2022. It was a day-longprogramme.
Srimat Swami Satyajnananandaji Maharaj, Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission Students’ Home, Chennai was the Chief Guest.
A procession, along with decorated Ratham of Sri Gurumaharaj was taken round all the streets of the town and received devotedly by the local people. At 9.30 a.m., a public meeting was arranged. Well-known scholars of this locality had narrated the life and messages of Sri Ramakrishna, Holy Mother and Swami Vivekananda to the public. At the end of the morning session, nearly 2500 devotees took Prasadam(Annadanam). During the evening program, at 3.30 p.m., as a part of our annual welfare activities, 1) Clothes and other essential materials were distributed to 255 male and female cleaning workers of 27 Panchayats, 2)The certificates were distributed to 20 of our students who have passed the Typewriting examination conducted by the Govt of Tamil Nadu last week.
A debate – “The basic need for this modern age is Science related developments or Spirituality related developments” - was also performed by the eminent scholars and was enjoyed by the large gathering.
The program ended with Arati and Jai to Sri Gurumaharaj. Prasadam was distributed for nearly 700 people.
